Polka Dots, Stripes, Shorts, Oh my!

So I’ve worn some pretty cute outfits lately.  But I have no pictures of them, because of a lot of lame excuses I can make up. None of which you want to hear.  These two lonesome pictures are the only ones I have.  And they were taken on my Iphone.  Blogger FAIL!

We decided to head out for a last minute meal at our fave Mexican restaurant after work. This was three day old curled hair.  For some reason, my curling wand curls last FOREVER!  I love it!  Also, this is the farthest I’ve taken pattern mixing so far.  It wasn’t the smoothest mix but it worked.

I promise I’ll get better soon about taking more pictures……*hopefully*

Adoring the Hi Lo Hemline

One of the hottest trends this spring/summer is the hi-lo hemline.  It is on shirts, skirts, and dresses galore.

Definition: a garment with a shorter hemline in front that gets longer in the back, like a train.

I’m in love with this trend! I gave in a bought an adorable Lucy Love floral hi/lo skirt.  I also have an adorable white tank from Langford Market at TxSC.  While I can’t wait to wear it, I’m also lusting over some of these hi/lo dresses and skirts.

TxSC Recap: Sunday Symposium

If you can’t tell, all these posts are incredibly picture heavy. Just a warning.

Sunday of the TxSC was the blogger symposium.  It was such a great event and I have so many pictures that the outfit stuff will have to be included in another post.

TxSC Recap: The Lulus*s & Swap.com Swapping Party

Last Friday was the first official event for the Texas Style Council.  It was the Lulu*s & Swap.com Swapping Party.  Everyone took two items to give up for “swapping” and in return you could take 2 items.   And we were also generously rewarded a free dress from Lulu’s.   Here’s a quick (lots of) photo filled recap.

Items I took.Forever21 Dress & TruLuxe Jeans

What I got, my TXSC Badge, and a fun koozie.

Oh, and my real name is Sarah. Nice to meet you!  You can actually call me Sarah Michelle.  Michelle is my middle name.  I give up anonymity on the web.  It isn’t as fun.

Pretty ladies I met that night.

Willo, Amanda, Alice, Erica  (I can’t find Alice’s business card, if any one can send me the link to her blog I’ll be forever grateful!!)

My free Lulu*s dress.

I’m in love with this dress. IN LOVE. Except I have a slight problem.  It’s a Small.  I can put it on and it zips, but I can’t walk and skin oozes out of the cutouts.  womp. womp.  So this dress is my motivation for fitness.  I WILL fit in it and it WILL look good.  Or I might see if I can find a Medium anywhere.

The Lulu’s table at the swap.Full of pretty pretty things!

Oh and this is what I wore.

Dress: Forever 21 Pantyhose: Icing(old) Heels: Payless (last year) Belt: Forever 21 (similar) Rainboots: Target Coat: Just Add Jeans(old)

It wasn’t the original plan because wonderful Texas weather decided to drop below 60 all of a sudden.  Enter tights and a coat.  Oh and rain boots on the way.  Btw’s the original plan was a cute gold belt and gold shoes.  It will debut at some point this spring or summer.

The Swap Party was beyond a blast.  As was the rest of the weekend, stay tuned for more.
